Sir Cumference: (voiced by Ian James Corlett) An old-timely scientist who has been in his secret lab for ages. He is a green Pac-Worlder and he also provides Pac-World with a variety of ghostbusting weapons to help combat the ghostly menace. He helps Pac-Man and his friends along the way.
Ghost Sharks: A race of ghostly sharks reside the waters of PacLantis. They first appeared in "PacLantis". They have special radar detectors on their head so that if they spot an enemy, they will hunt them down.
There are six worlds for Pac to find his way through in all, and while the levels tread well-worn platforming ground - there's the obligatory ice, fire, and jungle stages - there's also a lot of subtle charm in the environments. The futuristic floating city of Pacopolis is a real highlight, with its happily hovering hydroponic platforms and constant stream of ghostly sky-traffic, but there are lovely little touches in each area - like the second world's temple walls, adorned with neon, pseudo-Aztecan approximations of classic Pac-Man shapes.
Lord Betrayus is a white and black ghost with sharp teeth and red eyes. He has spiky ghostly hair, and wears three black belt straps on his chest in a gothic manner black, and black prosthetic gloves with claws (as Ghosts appear to have no hands in the show). He also bears a long mustache and a form of a goatee.
Betrayus has the standard abilities common to all Ghosts, such as flight, intangibility and possession. As he is already dead, he is incapable of being defeated if his ghostly form is eaten, and he will simply form a new one in due time.
Resistance to Possession (Pac-Man drank milk containing ghosts that tried possessing others but wasn't affected in the slightest, and eats ghosts on a daily basis without being possessed anyway), Black Holes (Pac-Man can travel through black-holes without being harmed or affected in the slightest), Intangible attacks (Pac-Man was unaffected by ghostly-based swords used by ghost pirates), Forcible Transformation (Pac-Man can negate being forcefully transformed by eating his power berries), Soul Manipulation to an extent and Corruption (Digital Pac-Man was given immunity to remain unaffected by a ghostly-based virus that was corrupting all of Pacopolis's technology), Energy Drain and Possibly Death Manipulation (Pac-Man's power berries have the power to protect him and others from the negative effects of the Netherworld's atmosphere, which not only drains energy from victims but can turn them into ghosts without protection)
The truth is that Namco Bandai wants to get kids buying Pac-man toys manufactured by Bandai and watching the new Ghostly Adventures cartoon series on the Disney Channel. This is an explicit push to use an old icon to make some scratch. In the process, though, producer Kunito Kumori and his team have made a what seems to be a lovely little game. When you get exhausted of the gunplay and epic adventures flooding all game machines later this year, this will make one hell of a palette cleanser. 781b155fdc
